Working to:

  • Protect our Urban Growth Boundary
  • Preserve Ridgelines and Open spaces
  • Retain the best qualities of ourcity for future generations.

Karla has consistently supported Pleasanton Voters’ goals of protecting the voter-approved Urban Growth Boundary, preserving ridges and open spaces, and retaining the best qualities of our city for future generations. She believes in the goal of balancing our infrastructure needs with growth in our neighborhoods.

She has endorsed projects that will address the major concerns of our citizens: traffic, overcrowded schools, and limited water resources.  In the area of traffic, she used her position as the Vice Chair on the Wheels Board, to promote new routes and improve ridership on our buses.  Representing the majority of Pleasanton, she was the first to oppose the 1400 housing and commercial development in east Pleasanton which would have negatively impacted traffic, our schools, and challenged the Urban Growth Boundary.  She supported the city’s plan to provide 10 miles of recycled water for landscaping to ease drought conditions.

She listens to the public and does not bow to the lobbyists and developers’ demands for new housing.   Also, we feel our residents need more than one perspective represented on the City Council.  For these reasons and based on her responses at our “Tri-Valley @ a Crossroads” forum, endorses Karla Brown for her second term on the City Council.  Type your paragraph here.

Karla Brown is running for re-election to retain her seat
on the Pleasanton City Council.  Her voting record over       the past 4 years shows she is an advocate for slow and         controlled growth while approving projects which will         enhance our city. Often she has been the lone voice on
the council raising critical issues not represented by

Pleasanton Voters

Re-elect Karla Brown for Pleasanton City Council endorses Julie Testa for Mayor

Julie is running for office to stop excessive development in  Pleasanton, and to ensure our city government works closely
with our school district to provide a quality education to our  students.  She stated she is concerned that too much growth has  put us out of balance with traffic and water infrastructures.  She  also supports the voter-approved urban growth boundary, and is  against proceeding forward with planning the east side.

Elect Julie Testa for Mayor of Pleasanton

October 18, 2016 endorses Karla Brown
for the Pleasanton City Council on November 8

Based on responses during our event “Tri-Valley @ a Crossroads” we were impressed with Julie Testa’s knowledge, intelligence and commitment to our community.  During questioning, she stated one of her goals as Mayor will be to encourage new membership on Pleasanton’s Committee and Commissions.  Too often citizens that do not agree with the current Mayor are blocked from participating. She wants to see new residents get involved.

Appointed by a former mayor, Julie was active on our Human Services Commission; plus she has worked with the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and served on local nonprofit boards including the board of directors for the Tri-Valley REACH (Resources Education Activities Community and Housing.)  Well versed in finance, she has participated on numerous budget and planning committees and task forces for both the City of Pleasanton and the Pleasanton Unified School District including the PUSD Citizens’ Committee on Debt Management.

Based on her answers to our questions at our forum, her 30+ years of community service and her commitment to balancing growth, we are endorsing Julie Testa for Mayor.
